Interested in learning more about why we don't want cops at Pride? Curious about the connects between Palestine or environmentalism and Pride? Join us for one of our educational events to dive deeper into a variety of topics to better understand why we march, or help us make sure our events are a success by assisting day-of.
These are events open to the community where we create protest art! Help make banners and signs to march with while connecting with other community members and organizers.
Keep an eye on our social media or calendar for Art Build dates, times, and locations.
Spread the word about the march to folks who may not be reached by our social media- help us put up fliers in your neighborhood or favorite coffeeshop!
We invite community members and organizations to join us to take the streets while maintaining our core values: Our coalition and our march are Black-led and trans-led. The front of march and the post-march rally will be reserved for our most-impacted community members and organizations that support the demands of the movement. This also applies to the rest of the protest at every level.
Who will lead the march? We will prioritize space at the front of the march and on the stage as follows:
Black trans/queer/NB folks - especially our Elders and youth who are frontliners, those living with disabilities or functional barriers, and youth - along with any loved ones or comrades
Families of those impacted by police crimes and the wrongfully incarcerated and/or their loved ones
Black-led movement organizations will also lead (we request that BIPOC trans/queer folks of those groups lead their contingents)
Organizations that endorse the march demands and organizing principles, with LGBTQ-led organizations to the front
Other community members, and organizations that support the march but not every demand may join in behind the leading contingents. Those who cannot agree with every demand/principle can march at the end if they are Black, Trans/Queer/NB, or IPOC. Those hostile to our people and/or our movements will be asked to leave and expected to comply.
